Truck Driver - Super B Tankers

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with super b tankers hauling fluids on and off road. This is a full-time local position and pay will be commensurate with experience. Class 1 driver’s license, reliable transportation, available to work evenings, weekend and holidays. The truck is a 2020 Kenworth W990 with a new pump system.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Maintain an accurate logbook of driving activities to ensure compliance with provincial regulations governing the rest and work periods.
• Always operate the unit in a safe manner, abiding by posted speed limits, legal limits and road restrictions/conditions.
• Participates in all pre-job hazard assessments and inspections prior to commencing any job.
• Hand in complete paperwork such as BOL’s, logs and any other relevant paperwork to be processed.
• Ensures proper load securement of any hoses, or other equipment.
• Responsible for transporting, loading and offloading of crude oil at various locations. Chaining up when required – chaining up is paid.
• Completes job tasks with personal and public safety as the top priority.
• A team player – must possess the ability to communicate with all levels of management, dispatchers and supervisors.
• Our pre-employment screening process includes a review of your driver's abstract, road test and includes a drug and alcohol-screening test.
• Connect hoses between the trailer and the unloading/loading facility while monitoring the procedure carefully.
• Inspect vehicles and trailers in accordance with regulations (brakes, engine oil, water levels, lights, loading hoses) etc.
• Driver must have experience working in crude oil industry for at least 3 years and with super b trailers for at least 3 years, those with no experience will not be considered.
• We will have a 7 on and 7 off schedule for the truck to be able to work at least 30 days per month. Pay will
be based on experience at $36.00 to $40.00 per hour.Also, the schedule is negotiable for the right driver. If more days on are desired, that can be arranged. The driver will be cross-shifting with the truck owner.
Requirements:
• First Aid, H2S Alive, CSO, TDG, WHMIS
• Off-road driving experience
• Chaining up experience
• A valid Canadian Class 1 Driver’s License.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Driven commercially in the last 3 years (insurance requirement) in Canada.
